I’m “Miss Nancy” to the students at Malcom, but my official title is Nancy Kaltenbach, Office Manager.

In 1999, I was fortunate to be hired by Malcom Principal Lois Anderson.

As Office Manager, my main responsibilities are to assist Dr. Morris and the teachers and to handle everything within my ability so they can focus on their areas of expertise. I answer questions of parents and the public and offer assistance with their concerns. But, my day also includes many unexpected events. For example, recently, I found myself examining a water leak running across our fire lane to determine if the problem was ours or the neighbor’s; then working with Jose trying to pull off the jagged plastic basketball hoops in the kindergarten playground. With him on one side and me on the other, we looked like we were dancing, and I hoped no one was taking pictures! So, you see “Office Manager” doesn’t really describe my position, but I love it the way it is!
